This product is fantastic, I can't recommend it enough. I have tried and tested it myself and continue to use it. I myself have a four year old mare who has always been sensitive to flies and dust spores. She was backed last year and started headshaking soon after. It was controllable with the use of a nosenet but some days were worse than others.
After a winter off I brought her back into work in the early spring to find the headshaking was worse. We had rape fields all around us this year and hacking out was proving to be a real problem. She just could not cope with the pollen and would try and rub her nose on her legs and along the ground and would just throw her head up uncontrollably. I was really distressed by this as she is a young horse but it was becoming dangerous to ride her as the headshaking could get uncontrollable so she did not know what she was doing.

After reading and studying the product I was desperately hoping it would work but at the same time was not expecting it to. Well, on first use it exceeding my expectations. I still used the nose net as I dared not go out without it for safetys sake. However, the head shaking was not so eratic and she did not rub her nose as much. I then thought about how I had used Nostrilvet and realised I had cleaned by horses nose before I used it and that could have stopped the spray from going far enough up the nasal cavity as the nostrils would have been wet and would have stopped the fine powder from going far enough up the nostrils.
Sure enough the next day I did not clean the nostrils first and puffed the powder up my mares nostil cavities. Fantastic no head shaking what so ever!!! Our first controlled leisurely hack it was fantastic and such a relief. I have since ridden my mare around fields of rape all spring/summer and the head shaking has ceased. It is fantastic I am now able to ride my mare knowing she is comfortable and that the irritating pollens are not driving her insane.
